Did you know that 8mm tapes were first introduced by Eastman Kodak in 1932 as an economical alternative to 16mm. 8mm was primarily used as a medium for photographing home movies and gained wide acceptance as an entertainment medium until after WWII.

By 1965, Kodak had come up with super 8mm tape that have views an approximately 25% larger image area. However, by 1976 VHS Tapes were launched became the standard by 1990.

Unfortunately, both 8mm and VHS had one major problem in that they both last their quality over time. Therefore, in 1996, DVD’s were launched and quickly became the standard by 2003.  By 2006, my most major film companies stopped producing VHS Tapes.

But at ConvertVHStoDVD.org, we understand you that have 8mm tapes that you don’t want to lose.  We specialize in converting 8mm Tapes to DVDs and would happy to help you.

We can convert your 8mm tapes to DVD in a couple different of ways:

  2. We can take several 8mm tapes and combine them into one DVD.  For example, we could put all your Christmas Home Videos over the years onto one DVD.  Or we could take all of your businesses training videos on to one training DVD with a special navigation memu.
